Happy Birthday Grandma K!!
Yesterday was Grandma K's birthday! The kids called and left messages for her. She, unfortunately, had to take her last baby to Utah to go away to school. She will now have an empty nest back home, but we hope that will free up some time for more visits! The kids always have such a great time when she is here! We hope you had a great birthday, we love you lots, and will see you soon!

Michael's First Golf Tournament
Michael played in his very first golf tournment today! He had a blast! They played 3 par 3 holes and he shot 11, 6, and 7!! Not bad for a 2 year old! He's been telling everyone he see's that he "just played in a golf tournament!" ALL DAY!! And keeps asking to go play some more! I think they're going to try to have a tournament once a month. I think this will be good experience for him and he will enjoy it a ton!

Styling Gel
I had Michael go potty and he was gone for quite some time, so I thought I'd check on him. His new thing is to lock the doors, but we can still get in, so when I opened the door, I was looking down at the floor to see if there was a mess there, then my eyes panned to the toilet to make sure there was something in there and not just a mess, then I panned up farther and saw Michael with green soap all over his head! My brother had just put some in his hair the day before to spike it up, so I guess he thought he'd do it again!
Laundry!
I do laundry every monday. Usually everything goes smooth. This time, not so much! I was washing the kids clothes, and as I was putting it in the dryer, noticed that Michael had put his pull up in the dirty clothes and the gel stuff got all over the clothes! THEN he had had an accident on his bed during nap, so I put his sheets and pillow in the wash and the pillow came apart and all the stuffing came out! I guess that's what 4 bucks at K-mart will get ya!
Happy Birthday Alexis!!

Muffin?
My parents gave the kids each a Costco muffin, however, one was destroyed before we left their house. They gave us another, incuding the one that was destroyed....which Emma had. I did my routine when we got home; got out, unbuckled Michael, then went around to get Emma and this is what I saw....

Guess What?!
After many MANY conversations whether we should or shouldn't, we finally bit the bullet and..............PIERCED EMMA'S EARS!!! I originally wanted to wait until she was around 5, but Ron kept bringing it up because he was tired of people calling her a boy! So, I figured, what the heck?! Why not! I still had my doubts, but it went smooth (except for the crying!). the lady did a good job and they look really cute! They're still a little tender, but it should be fine after awhile. I'm just nervous she's going to get an infection. I had sensitive ears as a kid and had to wear 14k gold, so that's what I got her. Hopefully it will all work out (knock on wood!)
Before (all happy!):

What We've Been Up To
I finally downloaded my pictures, so...without furthur adue...
When we were camping, I bought a big thing of bubbles. The kids loved playing with them! So, while I was at Target, they had the little bubble machines on clearance, so (being the lazy person I am) I bought one so it does all the work for me! The kids LOVE it! Here's Michael trying to eat the bubbles!

Responding To Criticism
I received this quote from the Daily Gems that I get every day and I really liked it. Sometimes I need a reminder...

"One sister asked, 'Why doesn't the church defend itself more actively when accusations are made against it?'....In such moments, we may want to respond agressively--to 'put up our dukes.' But these are important opportunities to step back, pray, and follow the Saviors example. Remember that Jesus Himself was despised and rejected by the world. And in Lehi's dream, those coming to the Savior also endured 'mocking and pointing...fingers' (1 Nephi 8:27)...When we respond to our accusers as the Savior did, we not only become more Christlike, we invite others to feel His love and follow Him as well." ~Robert D. Hales
