For My Best Friend...(you know who you are!)
You've been on my mind a lot lately as I've been remenising about all the good times we've had over the years. I'm sorry to not call or visit as much as I should, but I just want you to know that I miss you and I love you and I hope we can get together soon! I hope you and your family are doing well. Please please please, let me know if there's anything I can do for you! Love you lots! ~Me

Christmas Events
We all had a great Christmas, and hope you all did, too. I worked Christmas Eve until about 4:30, the kids and I met up with Ron's family at Glenda's for dinner & then we headed over to Ryan's with my family for snacks & a few gifts. Ron worked that night, but was off for Christmas. Christmas morning we all headed over to Ryan's again to watch them open their gifts & have breakfast. Then it was back to our house with Grandma & Grandpa Pitts and Grandma & Grandpa Killmer & Aunt Mary to open gifts from Santa. After that, it was off to my parents for more gifts & lunch. Then we were off to Grandma & Grandpa Shmeesh's for even more presents and finger foods/leftovers. We had planned to go back to my parents after that to pick up our gifts and have some dessert, but the kids crashed, so we decided to put them to bed & watch "Christmas Vacation". It was a busy couple of days, but we had a great time and the kids were spoiled! Thanks to all who contributed to making Christmas 2008 a fun and memorable day!

I'm Mobile Again!
A lady at work brought me her old cell phone, so I have one now! Yea! And only 2 voicemails! I guess no one calls much! What did we do before cell phones?

What the Heck?!
So, last Thursday was the SECOND time in a year that I have dropped my cell phone in the toilet! How you ask? No, my children weren't playing with it, it was ALL ME! Occasionally I put my phone in my back pocket. We got home from running earrands and I had to go to the bathroom (like I ALWAYS do when I get home from ANYWHERE) and I pulled my jeans down and PLOP! Right in! So, I am now without a phone until I can upgrade on Wednesday. I haven't needed it too much, but it's always worse when you don't have it! I feel like I can't go anywhere because "what if I miss a call???" Isn't that sad?! So, if anyone has tried to get a hold of me, you're going to have to call my house phone until further notice.
On another note, A few months ago I posted about Deja Vu, in which I mentioned that occasionally Emma will do something that Michael did when they were about the same age. Well, It happened again tonight at my parents house, except this time it WASN'T cute! A few months ago, Michael was playing with the house phone and was pushing buttons, when I grabbed it from him he had pushed talk. Before it rang, I hung up, but had noticed that he dialed several numbers, but the first 3 were 9-1-1!! Tonight, Emma was playing with my parents phone, so I told Michael to go get it from her "gently", so as he was bringing it to me, I heard a womans voice on speaker. I assumed it was Amanda since we had just talked to them, so I said "Hello?" and the lady said "This is 9-1-1!!" I appologized and explained that my daughter had had the phone and she said "well, could you take it away from her because I just sent the police to your house!" She was kind of snotty, and I can see why, but my daughters only one! It's not like she knew what she was doing! I tried to get the phone away, but it, apparently, was too late! Anyway, hopefully that's the last time we call 9-1-1 without an emergency! But, at least I know that my kids know what to do if there is one!

The Night of Two Thanksgivings!
We had a great Thanksgiving Day! Ron's family came in to town for Emma's b-day, Thanksgiving & hopes that Lindsey would have her baby while they were here (which she did, yea!) So, like most holidays, we had 2 Thanksgivings! I love visiting with all the families, but my tummy gets FULL! Ron played golf with his grandpa, dad & sister in the morning, then we went to his grandparents for Thanksgiving lunch, then it was off to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner. It's always fun getting the kids together and watching them all play together. **Side note: Emma's 1st Birthday was Tuesday before Thanksgiving, but this year was her first Thanksgiving! I was due on Thanksgiving, but she was 3 days late (the 25th) and Thanksgiving fell on the 27th this year! Crazy!** While we were at my parents, my mom wanted us kids to go through the paper for all the sales for Black Friday and pick out what we wanted. It was decided that I would go with my parents to the Tulare outlet mall at midnight for all the deals. It wasn't too terrible. There was a huge line in Carters, but everything was 50% off PLUS 10% off your entire purchase. Not bad! We got back around 4:30 am, and then it was up at 8 am-ish because we were going to Knotts. It didn't hit me that I was tired until around 8/9 pm. It was all Ron & I could do to stay awake on the ride home! We would try to talk to each other and then we'd say "what was I talking about?" 'cause our minds would go blank. It was a little scary, but we made it home okay! Here are a few pics of the event. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
One year ago yesterday we were blessed with the sweetest, cutest little girl EVER! I am so glad to have this little spirit in my home! I love watching her grow and develop her personality. I'm not sure if I'm going to like it when she gets older, though! :o) Emma is walking, loves to clap, she has 8 teeth (last I checked--she bites!), loves her blankie, brother, kitty (which I SWEAR she says!), and loves to watch the dog do whatever. She still pretty much just says "da-da" and is stubborn to say anything else. This past year has been an adjustment, but we've made some sweet memories along the way and I look forward to the future with my little girl!

It's a......BABY!!
A Bunting Baby! We got a call this morning that Lindsey (Ron's cousin) and David had their first child this morning at 5:30 am. I'm not going to give details, or the gender, because I promised I would let them do the honors, so if you know them and want to know, you're going to have to wait for their post. Here's a picture though, so you decide! Sooooo cute!

Emma's 1st Birthday Party #1
We had Emma's 1st Birthday party #1 yesterday. It was a nice turnout & she got a lot of cute stuff! LOTS of clothes! As you can see by the pictures, she LOVED eating the cake! Amanda baked & decorated both of the cakes and did an AMAZING job! Emma's birthday is on Tuesday & we'll be having another party for her next Sunday, so more to come!

Venting!
Okay, I just have to vent because I was flipping through the guide on the TV and saw a program called "Pregnant Man." Now, I've seen this so-called "man" in interviews before and it is so irretating that we are calling "him" a man! S-HE HAS A UTERUS, PEOPLE!!! I'm sorry, but if you still have female parts, you are NOT a man! I don't care how much facial hair you have, it doesn't count!! RIDICULOUS!

What Happened in Vegas, Happened to Us!
A few months ago, Ron was listening to the radio and a promotional trip for Tahiti Village in Vegas came on. You get a 4 day 3 night stay at one of the hotels on the strip, free show tickets, free dinner, $200 slot credits, and a certificate to either get married or renew your vows. So he called them up and we finally were able to go. We left the kids with my parents and were off. We got there Tuesday night to the Stratosphere (where we stayed), went and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe', Wednesday was the Tahiti Village presentation for about 3 hours (great idea, no $$), had lunch at the hotel Roxy's Diner, walked the strip a little, went to our free show American Superstars (celebrity impersonators Elvis, Tim McGraw, Rod Stewart, Christina Aguilera & Michael Jackson), went to Excalibur for their Tournament of Kings dinner show (VERY entertaining!), walked the strip a little more, Thursday we started at Mandalay Bay and worked our way up the strip, stopped at the Casino Royale to use up our slot credit (no jackpots!), had dinner at Hooters (don't worry, the "hooters" weren't all that spectacular!), then went up to the top of the Stratosphere (we were too chicken to go on the rides) Friday we went to the Fashion Mall and then to Caesar's Palace for an AWESOME buffet, and then it was time to come home! We had a great time and it was nice to get away for a couple of days! Here's a bunch of pictures of the trip.
If I could sum up our trip in one word, it would be "walking!" We walked EVERYWHERE!!! It was a lot of fun, though! I'm not going to miss the cigarette smoke, the same sex couples, or the millions of guys that stand next to each other and hand out their "girls, girls girls" cards! They were SOOOO annoying!
