Father's Day

I know, I know, I'm like 2 months late, but I kept putting it off because I thought it was too late to do one, but I'd like to document the day before I forget it...Anyway, Ron worked a lot that weekend, so we hadn't seen him much. He works afternoons, so he didn't get home until aroud 11 pm Saturday night, So I made him a nice speghetti dinner (since he would be missing out on the festivities on Sunday). I had a bottle of Martinelli's and got down our wedding flutes. It would've been a lot more romantic except my mom and dad were speaking in church and they came over so my mom could work on her talk since Ryan and Amanda had been staying there and the kids sleep in the office where the computer is! I got up early Sunday morning and made Ron breakfast in bed. Michael helped (or "watched") and we took it in there. He ate breakfast and while he did that, I had Michael sing to him. I had been working on getting him to sing "I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home" for the longest time so that he could sing it to him, and it went VERY well! It was sooo cute and Ron enjoyed it. It was then on to presents! Michael got daddy a new golfing Calvin sticker for his car, but this time we added "Play Good Daddy" on it, and Emma got daddy a nice picture frame with a picture of the two of them the day after she was born with a nice poem on it. It was then on to church for a nice meeting. My parents spoke, and it went well. Ron can usually only stay for Sacrament and then he has to go to work, so the kids and I went to my parents for dinner. Ryan wanted Bacon Wrapped Chicken, so that's what we had. It was very good! I'm so glad that I have these wonderful men in my life! I am so blessed to have such amazing priesthood holders around me and my children and I hope that one day my son will follow in their footsteps.

She Did It!!!

As of Friday, July 25th (her 8 month birthday), our baby girl is on the move! I had gone to my parents after work to help them out with the boys (Ryan and Amanda went out of town for their anniversary) and, after a movie, I sat down on the floor with a styrafoam bowl and she started bookin' it to get it! She's already soooo fast! She's not up on her knees yet, but she's army crawling...It's sooo cute! Unfortunately my video camera isn't fixed and I haven't gotten any good pics yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post!

Up, Up, and (Almost) Away!!!

So, Little Miss Emma is up on her knees and rocking back and forth, but not quite going forward yet! Should be soon! I tried to take a picture to post, but the little stink just laid down on her belly and I couldn't get a good one. Hopefully I will get my video camera fixed so that I can get video of it. I don't know how to get it on the computer, so you may not get to see her in action, but I will probably get pics either way! I know you all are waiting in anticipation, but you will just have to wait! :o)

Memories

I found this on a friends blog and left a comment for her, so I have to do one for myself, so here you go!

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one (or 2 or 3...) memories that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

The Fourth

Hope everyone had a great 4th! Ron had to work a swap in the morning and then his regular shift in the afternoon, so we didn't see him pretty much all day. We started off with the day with the annual pancake breakfast at the church. It was pretty good. I'm not big on pancakes, but they had eggs, hash browns, and sausage. Then it was off to my parents house. The kids played for awhile and then we went to the grocery store for last minute items. When we got back, I tried to put Michael down for a nap, but that was not successful! He gets so stubborn sometimes! (I think he gets it from his daddy...tee hee!) I went back to my house so I could get a few things for the "party". I ordered the kids the Animal Safari Water Park thing from Fisher-Price. and took it over there. When the older boys woke up from their nap, we all went outside to play in the water.

The next Abercrombie & Fitch model...

After a delicious BBQ Ribs, Hamburgers & Hot Dogs, it was on to Homemade Ice-Cream and Fireworks...

Jordan got to help light them this year...

The Funny Things She Does...

So, Emma is pretty much moving around EVERYWHERE! She's not crawling forward yet, she just rolls and/or scoots herself to get around the room. When I leave the room and come back, I often find her in the weirdest places...

The other day I gave her a bottle and when it was all gone, it fell off and underneath the bouncer. When I turned around, this is what I saw...

Ahh, much better!
